The library's archives in Alvin

A selection of the library's archives are listed in the national cultural heritage platform Alvin.

What is an archive?

An archive is a coherent collection of documents from a person, a society or an association's operations.

Finding and requesting from the archives

The archives are situated at the Humanities Library and KvinnSam. The archives are placed in closed stacks, and the material can't be found in Supersearch. To find out how to find and request the material, you can search in Alvin or contact the Humanities Library or KvinnSam.

Special reading room

At the Humanities Library there is a special reading room intended for studies of the University Library's most fragile and valuable materials. In here you can read manuscripts, rarities and other items from the special collections.
