This is beta-staging.ub.gu.se - test environment for the library
About the website
The task of this website is to make it easy for you to use the library. The site should work well no matter what size you have on your screen, or if you need to listen to the content instead of reading.
Purpose and target group
The purpose of the website is to make it easy for you to use the library's information resources and services. The goal is an easier, clearer, faster website that makes the library's information resources and services useful, comprehensible and accessible.
The website is primarily aimed at students and employees at the University of Gothenburg and secondly to the public.
Adaptation and availability
The library's website is built to work well regardless of whether you use a mobile phone, tablet or computer. It changes appearance based on how big your screen is and adapts to the screen's direction.
Change the text size
You can change the text size of the web pages yourself. Use the shortcut Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) and the minus or plus key. You can also read about how you change the text size in your browser's help section.
Listen to the content
The website has a listening function that allows the text on the web pages to be read out for you. Tap the Listen-link in the header to listen to an entire web page. If you want a particular paragraph read, select the paragraph and then click the Listen-icon that appears next to the selection.
The listening function is a support for those who rather listen than read. It cannot replace screen readers or other tools to navigate the site.
Accessibility
We strive to ensure that the library's website can be perceived, handled and understood by all visitors, regardless of what aids the visitors use. Our goal is to achieve at least basic accessibility according to the criteria in WCAG 2.1 at level AA.
Read our accessibility statement to get detailed information about the website's accessibility.
