About the agreement with American Chemical Society

Publish free of charge

Authors affiliated to the University of Gothenburg can during 2021 publish Open Access in all APS hybrid journals at no extra cost. The agreement does not include publication in fully Open Access journals.

The agreement with Springer Nature fully open access journals lets researchers at the University of Gothenburg to publish themselves in journals from BioMed Central (BMC) at no cost.

Through the library's agreement with BMJ, authors at the University of Gothenburg can publish free of charge in BMJ journals. The agreement covers both hybrid journals and pure OA journals and applies to articles submitted as of 1 January 2021.

About the agreement with Cambridge University Press

Publish free of charge

The Gothenburg University Library has entered into a membership agreement with Cogitatio. Through the membership fee, which the library pays, authors who are affiliated with the University of Gothenburg can publish free of charge in all Cogitatio journals.

The Gothenburg University Library pays the full publication fee at Copernicus. This allows researchers at the University of Gothenburg to publish articles at Copernicus at no cost.

To make use of the agreement

The agreement with Copernicus applies to the corresponding author affiliated with the University of Gothenburg. The University Library will check their affiliation before payment is approved.

Researchers at the University of Gothenburg can publish Open Access without charge in hybrid journals and fully open journals from De Gruyter.

Publish with a discount

Through the Gothenburg University Library's membership in Dove Medical Press, all authors at the University of Gothenburg receive a 25% discount on the publication fee.

The agreement applies to corresponding authors who must state their affiliation with the University of Gothenburg and use their email address from the University of Gothenburg when submitting an article. In order to receive the discount a discount code is required, please contact gup@ub.gu.se.

Publish free of charge

The agreement with Elsevier provides access to unrestricted publication with open access. The author (corresponding author) can publish with a CC-BY license, or other open licenses based on the author's wishes. Publication within the agreement applies to articles sent to the publisher after 1/1 2020.

Once an article has been accepted for publication, the author will receive an email with a link to select publishing options.

As a corresponding author, you shall state your affiliation to the University of Gothenburg and use your email address from the University of Gothenburg when you submit an article for publication.

Publish with a discount

Frontiers is an Open Access publisher, publishing journals in medicine, science, engineering, humanities and social sciences. All journals are open to read (CC-BY).

Under this agreement, researchers at the University of Gothenburg will receive a 10% discount on publication fees.

To make use of the agreement

1. Ensure that your department accepts that the library will be invoicing them the discounted APC cost.
2. As a corresponding author, you shall state your affiliation to the University of Gothenburg and use your email address from the University of Gothenburg when you submit an article for publication.
3. When submitting your article, please select ‘the University of Gothenburg’ as the institutional payer in the invoice section.
4. Frontiers will then verify your eligibility with the Gothenburg University Library, and if confirmed, the library will invoice your department for the APC with a 10% discount.

Publish with a discount

Through the agreement, researchers at the University of Gothenburg receive a 20 % discount on the publishing fee when publishing in an Inderscience title.
