Request older printed newspapers from the Social Sciences Library

You can request material that is not available in digital form. You can check the database Svenska tidningar to see if the material has been digitised.

Request the material

Fill out the form to request material. Please make one request per newspaper title. State what you require and we will try to accomodate it as best we can.

How to fill out the request form:

1. In the subject field, write Request newspaper
2. Describe which material you want to order. Enter the title, year and date of the newspaper.
3. Enter the number of your GU card.
4. Fill in your first and last name.
5. Fill in your email address.

You will receive a message from us when the material is available to read read in the special reading room at the Humanities Library. Please note that this may take up to ten working days.

We refer you primarily to digitised materials and newspapers on microfilm. If the newspaper is not digitised and we do not have the newspaper on microfilm in our collections, we will borrow the newspaper on microfilm from another library.
